A few kilometers down a gravel road off the main highway lies a clearing. A lake, a couple of hectares of pine forest, a few log cabins, and the wind rustling through the treetops. It’s not a hotel. It’s a place that reminds you that silence is more than just the absence of sound—silence is a presence in and of itself.
Guests say that the first evening is usually spent soaking in the peace and quiet. On the second evening, you’ll want to do something—take a walk around the lake, read a book in the sauna, or fire up the grill outside the cabin.
We came because it was close to Gekås. We stayed because we didn't want to leave.
The situation

Here, you’ll be living just a seven-minute drive from Sweden’s most visited department store, but you won’t have to deal with the hustle and bustle. Park your car on your own gravel driveway, and you’ll be in downtown Ullared in seven minutes—and back out just as quickly. The rest of the day belongs to the forest.

The cabins are newly renovated log cabins with modern kitchens, windows overlooking the forest, and plenty of space for the whole family. Our accommodations offer a relaxing retreat after a day of shopping in Ullared.
Our guests often describe the place as “fresh and cozy” in the same breath—that blend of a homey feel and impeccable upkeep is no accident.
