Welcome to Joe Getaway - your place to breathe

Joe Getaway is not a ranch in Texas, although the name might suggest it. And no, Joe is not a cowboy with boots and a mustache - Joe is simply us: Jansson, Olsson and Ekwall. Three happy Gothenburgers with a shared love of the hotel and restaurant industry - and a dream of creating something of our own.

Our journey began when we fell in love with a little gem in the middle of Ullared's forests - formerly known as Ullared Paradise. We immediately saw the potential in the hand-timbered cottages, the sparkling lake and the tranquillity that surrounds the place. Since then, we've worked our way through fall, winter and renovation dust - to create what we now call Joe Getaway.

Our vision is simple: to give you a home to long for, where you can land, breathe and just be. There are no reception hours or breakfast buffets. No noise, no fuss. Just you, the forest, the peace and quiet, and a place that feels like your own vacation home - but without the need to trim the hedge or paint the fence.

We have carefully decorated and modernized the accommodation to combine rustic charm with modern conveniences. Joe Getaway is a place for both rest and adventure - where you can take a sauna by the lake, pick mushrooms in the moss, or go shopping at Gekås just five minutes away.

Here, we put simplicity and the beauty of life at the center. We hope you feel it - as soon as you step out of your car.
